Leonardo Hotels Central Europe undertakes a strategic realignment of its Sales and Marketing Departments
Leonardo Hotels Central Europe concludes an extensive reorganisation process and presents its new management structure in the areas of Sales and Marketing.
Berlin, 29. January 2025. The management restructuring at Leonardo Hotels Central Europe has successfully completed a comprehensive transformation process which takes account of the rapid growth the company has undergone and paves the way for its future development. In the newly created structure, the Sales Department has been sub-divided into the areas of Sales and Convention Sales in order to allow for a sharper focus. In Corporate Communications, the areas of Digital, Marketing and PR have been brought together under a single umbrella.
Lisa Mager, Head of Convention Sales Central Europe, is now in charge of the stand-alone Convention Sales Department. She brings an outstanding degree of know-how to the table in the meetings and events segment. Together with her 78-strong team, she is set to take sales and the management of meetings, events and conferences to a whole new level. Lisa Mager has been with Leonardo Hotels for five years. Her initial role on joining the company was as Director Convention Sales for the region of North Rhine-Westphalia. She then went on to assume responsibility for Convention Sales Central Europe in her capacity as Head of the Sales & Marketing Department. During this period, Lisa Mager significantly professionalised the area of Convention Sales and set it on a clear course for growth. The independence of the department places Lisa Mager in a strategically important position in which she reports directly to Yoram Biton, Managing Director Leonardo Hotels Central Europe.
Corporate, MICE and Leisure Sales is being headed up by Director Sales Central Europe Maja Ziemann, who is now in charge of all strategic and operational tasks in the area and leads a team of 55 staff. Maja Ziemann is an economics graduate who is able to look back on an impressive career in sales. She was appointed Head of Corporate & MICE Sales at Leonardo Hotels Central Europe as long ago as 2013. She vigorously accelerated networking within this international Business Unit and was key to driving forward the success achieved by the Sales Department. Maja Ziemann will also be reporting directly to Yoram Biton, Managing Director Leonardo Hotels Central Europe.
“Sales plays a crucial role in our corporate strategy,” Mr. Biton stated. “For this reason, we are particularly delighted to have been able to fill these leadership positions by appointing Lisa Mager and Maja Ziemann, two experienced experts from within our own ranks.” He went on: “The new structure creates the very best prerequisites for meeting the requirements and wishes of our customers in an optimum manner.”
The realignment in the area of marketing unites digital and conventional marketing under the management of Dan Ogen, who takes on the role of Chief Digital and Marketing Officer. Dan Ogen has been Chief Digital Officer at Leonardo Hotels Central Europe since 2018 and has made a highly significant contribution to the development and implementation of successful digital strategies. His expertise in innovative digital concepts and comprehensive knowledge of strategic marketing will enable him and his 23 staff members to enhance the Leonardo Hotels brand further and to play a crucial part in shaping its future direction of travel.
Marion Schön, who has been Director Communication & Marketing at Leonardo Hotels Central Europe since August 2023, is taking charge of the areas of PR and Brand Marketing. She has built up a wealth of well-founded specialist knowledge following over 20 years of experience in tourism and in the hotel sector.
Sandra Dreher, Vice President Sales & Marketing Central Europe, has been actively supporting the restructuring process. She will be leaving the company at the end of January 2025 in order to seek out new challenges. Yoram Biton, Managing Director Leonardo Hotels Central Europe, praised the achievements of Sandra Dreher during her long period of service to the company. “Sandra Dreher has contributed in impressive fashion to the establishment, development and success of Leonardo Hotels since joining us in 2007. Sandra has led and very much left her mark on Sales, Marketing and Corporate Communications over the years. She has been instrumental to our company’s growth. We started out in Germany with just a handful of hotels. Today, we operate 111 hotels in our Central Europe Region alone and have a total portfolio of 300 hotels. We would like to offer Sandra our heartfelt thanks for her commitment and loyalty. We wish her all the very best for the future.”
