Leonardo Hotels with second hotel in Rome

Hotel near the historic centre will be extensively renovated and reopen as NYX Hotel Rome by Leonardo Hotels

Berlin/Rome 25. April 2024 - Leonardo Hotels acquired the Hotel Cicerone Rome on 12. April 2024 from Banco BPM. The hotel will reopen as NYX Hotel Rome by Leonardo Hotels after a comprehensive renovation. Leonardo Hotels is now represented with two hotels in Rome and a total of seven hotels in Italy.

The hotel is located in the heart of the Eternal City in the Prati neighbourhood between the historic old town and the Vatican City. The most popular tourist attractions such as Castel Sant'Angelo, St Peter's Square and the Spanish Steps are just a few minutes away.

With almost 300 rooms spread over eight floors, a restaurant, bar, courtyard with terrace and multi-storey car park, the hotel is perfect for a city break in Rome. Three spacious meeting rooms with a capacity of up to 100 people also make the hotel an attractive venue for meetings and events.

The hotel is currently closed for extensive refurbishment and will reopen as the NYX Hotel Rome by Leonardo Hotels in early 2025. The hotel will feature stylish rooms designed according to the NYX concept, an extravagantly designed lobby and an unconventional NYX bar and restaurant.

NYX Hotels by Leonardo Hotels, Leonardo's lifestyle brand, stands for a creative hotel concept that combines individuality, local esprit, and hip extravagance. The hotel brand is characterised by its extraordinary art concept curated by local artists. Under the motto "We own the Night", party series, cultural events and DJ nights are part of the NYX Hotels programme. At the same time, the hotels offer an inspiring business and meeting world with an urban vibe.

"We are delighted to have been awarded the contract for this traditional hotel in this desirable location in the centre of Rome. With our first NYX hotel in Rome, we are set for further expansion in beautiful Italy," says Yoram Biton, Managing Director, Leonardo Hotels Central Europe. “I’d like to thank BPM Bank and especially Mr. Ivano Asti for their professional cooperation in completing this deal," continues Biton.
